Lord of the Rings lasts up to 60 minutes. The actual finishing time depends on the team's pace: a team that progresses quickly may finish earlier, sometimes without any hints. The game master follows the team's progress throughout the game; players can ask for a hint at any time, and the game master may guide or assist when needed to maintain a suitable pace. We aim to let the team solve as much as possible independently and use as few hints as possible, but the game ends no later than 60 minutes, and progress and outcome depend on the team.
